ComindWork is another reincarnation of the online project management tool. Although these seem to be a dime a dozen, each offers its own personality and layout with a wealth of features that can be extremely helpful. ComindWork proves to be another beneficial addition to this collection of applications. Users can manage all aspects of their project from the ComindWork dashboard. The project leader can assign roles to each member, invite others from Facebook, Gmail, Yahoo and SalesForce, and create detailed to do lists. The to do lists can be assigned to specific users or linked to milestones to track progress. ComindWork was founded in February of 2007. The team of about 15 individuals includes CEO Andrew Uminski. Based out of Kiev, Ukraine, ComindWork provides a full spectrum of capabilities that project leaders and their teams need. Today, ComindWork is a preferred project management solution that gives organizations and businesses better control over progress of their projects.
Compared to other similar applications, ComindWork isn’t very unique. It offers many of the same functionalities as competing applications. That is not to say that the features and capabilities of the application are not worthwhile. The reason many project management applications have the same features is because they work and are desirable. ComindWork compiles another set of helpful features with its own personal style added into the mix.
An organized layout is very important for applications like ComindWork. The user interface does well by avoiding excessive clutter but providing enough detail to help the user get things done quickly. The dashboard provides an overview of all aspects of the project and those participating in it. Convenient navigation tabs allow the user to jump from one tool to the next to review milestones, cases, tickets, to do lists or team members.
A visitor can register for a ComindWork account by clicking on the black “Pricing and Sign up” link at the top right hand corner of the homepage. The user is asked to choose from four membership levels by clicking the corresponding blue button. Each comes with a one week free trial that does not require credit card information. The registration form asks for a desired ComindWork site URL, company name, plan selected verification, first and last name of the administrator, email address, username, and password. After entering the information the user can click the grey “Create my account” button at the bottom of the form to complete registration.
After the one week free trial of ComindWork is up, the user must select one of the four paid membership plans. The lower level plans are truly pay as you go, offering a per day rate. Members who choose the Team plan can add up to ten active projects, unlimited users and unlimited file storage for about $1 per day. The Workgroup membership upgrades to 20 active projects and costs about $2 per day. The per day rate only applies to days when a team member actually logs into ComindWork. Nothing is charged for days when no one logs in. The Business membership runs about $100 and upgrades to up to 50 active projects. The high level Enterprise membership allows users to add unlimited active projects for about $20 per month.
ComindWork is ideal for anyone who needs to manage a project. The pricing is very flexible, which makes ComindWork an affordable choice for businesses who only want to pay what they use with the per day plan.
